53, Andreas

In the name of God Amen, We John Quayle and Anne Quayle alias Cowley my wife
of the parish of KK Andreas being of a sound mind memory and understanding
and calling to mind the uncertainty of this life do make this our joint and
last will and testament in manner following:
FIRST We and each of us do commit our souls to Almighty God and our bodys to
a Christian burial.
ITEM:  We leave and bequeath to all our children the sum of one guinea each
to be paid by the survivor of us the said John Quayle and Ann Quayle after
the death of the first deceased of us as legacy.
LASTLY.  We do settle and estate the purchased lands on the survivor of us
the said John Quayle and Anne Quayle alias Cowley and we do constitute
nominate and appoint the survivor of us whole and sole executor or executrix
of all the rest of our chattles and effects moveable and immovable of what
kind or nature soever and that the survivor of us shall have the absolute
property of the first deceased of us after he or her decease and that he or
she may dispose of the whole of lands goods and effects as he or she may
have occasion for after the decease of the other.  In testimony whereof we
have sett or ordered our marks to our names this the 17th day of February
1810.

At a consistorial Court holden in Ramsey on the 14th day of April 1825. John
Quayle having departed this life Ann Quayle the survivor is sworn executrix
in court in form of law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and
legacies namely John Quayle of Andreas and Matthais Cowley of KK German.

I Robert Kneale husband of Eleanor Kneale also Quayle of the parish of
Lezayre do hereby acknowledge to have received from Anne Quayle of the
parish of KK Andreas executrix of the last will and testament of John Quayle
late of the said parish of Andreas deceased the sum one guinea the amount of
the legacy bequeathed to my said wife in and by the said will of the said
John Quayle and I do hereby release acquit and exonerate and discharge the
said Anne Quayle her heirs executors administrators and assigns of the same
and every part thereof -------- my subscription this 6th May 1826.  Robert
