Lib Testament
Anno Dei 1822
In the name of God Amen. We Hugh and
Isabella Creetch my wife also Moore
being weak in body but of perfect mind and
memory we do make and order this to be out
last will and testament jointly and severally
each to the other of us Hugh and Isabella
Creetch. First we commit and give our
Souls to God Almighty and our bodies to
a Christian burial. We leave and bequeath
to the last liver of us all our house
and lands and all goods moveable and immovebale
the last liver to have all of us Hugh and
Isabella Creetch.
We leave and bequeath to our beloved daughter
Isabella Robert Shimmin's wife that part of
of the croft the house is built on to
have it the whole length of Croft and the
length of Robert Shimmins house in breadth
that is ten yards broad or thereabouts to
posses it at the deathof the ongest liver of us.

We leave and bequeath to our son William our dwelling
house and part of the yard and six yards breadth the whole
length of the crof adjoing to Robert Shimmins that is
to say his life time and then at Williams deth to fall
to the right heir said William to have a chest
and a table a chair and a stoole a pott and a
and a kettle and abed also posses it at our death

We leave and bequeath to our son Edward nine yards
bread the whole length of the crof adjoining to his
brother William and als the bed that he now
sleeps on to posses at our death.
We leave to our Son Hugh the out houses and
half of the yard and the whole remaing part
of the croft to have it at the death of the longest
liver of Hugh and Isabella Creecth providing
the longest liver of us if in need that we may
sell or mortgage to supply our wants any or all
of the within mentioned croft and houses
and we order that the mortgage that is now in
the crofts will be on the whole of the croft
and that each one will have his part of
of the mortgage according to his part of the croft.
We leave and bequeath to our daugher Isabella
the aforesaid Robert Shimmins wife we leave to
her the garden. And we order and appointher to
be the whole Executor debaring of any that my
claim with five shillings. And if their
is any thing here short of being lawfull that is to be made out
firm and lawful. This is November 2nd 1821

on the 10th day of December 1825
Hugh Creech named in the foregoing
joint will having departed this life
Robert Shimmin in right of his wifhe
Isabella is swon Executor in Court in
form of law well and truly to fulfil
the last joint will of Hugh Creech and
Isabella Creech both deceased to pay all
his just debts legacies and funeral
expenses so far forth as the goods will
extend and the law bind him and to
return a full true and perfect inventory
of his proceedings in the premises into
the Ecclesiastical Rehgistry of this
Island when thereto lawfully required
and to do and perform all other acts
and things necessary or appertaining
to the office of Executor and to these ends
William Quayle of Malew and Henry
Cubbon of Arbory have entered into a
bond unto the Lord Bishop and his
successors in the sum of twelve pounds
British bearing equal date herewith.
Probate hereof is granted unto the said Robert
Shimmin.
