In the name of God Amen.
I Ralph Kneale of the parish of Kirk Michael being of sound and disposing
mind memory and understanding but weak in body do make my last will
and testament in manner following.
First I commit my soul to God and my body to Christian burial.
Item I give and bequeath unto my eldest son John Kneale five shillings as
legacy.
Item I give and bequeath unto my son William Kneale five shillings as
legacy.
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Jane Cannell als Kneale five
shillings as legacy.
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ann Kneale five shillings as
legacy
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Cathrine Kneale five shillings
as legacy.
Lastly I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Ann Kneale als Cannell
the dwelling house, barn, cow house, cart house, garden and haggard and
all the rest residue and remainder of my goods right credits chattels and
effects moveable and immoveable whatever,
And I do nominate constitute and appoint the said Ann Kneale my wife whole
and sole executrix of this my last will and testament
In witness thereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this 2nd day of
February 1825.

Signed published and declared by the testator Ralph Kneale as and for
his last will and testament in presence of us.

At a Chapter Court holden in the Court House at KK Michael on the 20th day
of May 1825.
Anne Kneale the executrix named in the foregoing will is sworn
executrix in court in form of law well and truly to execute the last will
and testament of Ralph Kneale deceased to pay all his just debts
legacies and funeral expenses so far forth as the goods will extend and
the law shall bind her, and to return a full true and perfect inventory of
the goods effects of the deceadant into the Archdeacon's Registry of this
island when thereto lawfully required and to do and perform all other
acts and things necessary or appertaining to the office of executrix and
to these ends John Caine and John Caine both of the parish of KK Michael
have entered into a bond unto the Lord Bishop and his successors in the sum
of Seventy pounds British bearing equal date herewith. Probate hereof is
granted unto the said Anne Kneale. Will Roper
Anne Kneale made Oath on the Holy Evangelists that the personal
property of Ralph Kneale deceased will not exceed in value the sum of
seventy pounds British to the best of the deponents' knowledge, information
and belief. Ann Kneale her x
