In the name of God Amen.
I Ann Bridson of Ballagree in the parish of Malew being advanced in years
but of sound mind and memory and thinking on the uncertainty of life am
disposed to make my last will and testament in manner following:
First I commit my soul to God and my body to Christian burial.
Secondly I leave and bequeath to my son John five shillings.
I leave to my daughter Ann five shillings.
I leave to my daughter Elizabeth five shillings
I leave to my four grandsons namely John Christopher James and William
Kermot half a crown a piece
Lastly I nominate and appoint my daughter Elinor Bridson sole executrix
of all the rest of my worldly goods moveable or immoveable of what
nature soever, excluding all persons that might claim any interest in my
will with six pence legacy a piece.
Signed and declared by the testatrix to be her last will and testament in
presence of us and and desired us to witness the same this 12 day of
April 1826.

At a Chapter Court holden in Castle Rushen 9th Nov 1826. Elinor Bridson the
executrix appointed by the foregoing will having personally in open court
and also by deed duly executed and hereunto annexed, transferred all her
right title and interest in the said will unto her brother John
Bridson of Ballavarvane in the parish of Malew. He is sworn well and
truly to administer the estate and effects of Ann Bridson deceased to
pay all her just debts and legacies so far forth as goods will extend and
the law bind him and to return a true and perfect inventory of the estate
into the Epl Reg when thereunto lawfully required. And to these ends the
Rev William Duggan and Thomas Cowley both of Malew have entered into
a penal bond in the sum of one hundred and twenty pounds British and
John Bridson hath made affidavit that the property will not exceed said sum.

Whereas Ann Bridson of Ballagary in the parish of Malew deceased did in and
by her last will and testament bearing date this 12 day of April
1826 nominate, constitute, and appoint her daughter Eleanor Bridson
whole and sole executrix and residuary legatee of her said last will and
testament as by the same will more fully and at large appear.
And whereas she the said Eleanor Bridson is desirous and anxious to
transfer, assigns, pass over, all and singular her right, title, and
interest in and unto the said last will and testament of her deceased mother
bearing date as aforesaid unto her brother John Bridson of Ballavarvane in
the said parish of Malew (and heir at law of the
deceased) unto the whole of the crop and stock upon he said estate of
Ballagarey aforesaid save and except the whole of the potatoes and the corn
field commonly called and known by the name of the "Cronk Glass"
and all the household furniture, pigs, poultry, on the said estate
aforesaid. Therefore know all men by these presents that I the said Eleanor
Bridson divers good cause and considerations the hereunto moving but more
especially for and in consideration of the full and just sum of Thirty
Two pounds British to me in hand now well and truly paid at by and from John
Bridson my said brother aforesaid the receipt hereof I do hereby acknowledge
I have given granted bargained transferred assigned and
made over and by these presents do give grant bargain transfer assign and
make over unto him the said John Bridson his heirs executors or assigns all
and singular that I may might or could be entitled in and unto the said last
will and testament of Ann Bridson my deceased mother aforesaid dated the
twelve day of April one thousand eight hundred and twenty six with the whole
of the crop and stock, rents, arrears of rents,
or any other matter or thing that may be due payable or in anywise owing
unto the estate of Ann Bridson my deceased mother aforesaid. He the said
John Bridson my brother paying and performing all the just debts legacies
and funeral expenses of the estate of Ann Bridson deceased aforesaid. And I
do hereby nominate and appoint John Bridson my brother aforesaid executor in
my room place or stead unto the estate of Ann Bridson my mother aforesaid
in all other matters or things in as full and ample a manner as if I the
said Eleanor Bridson executrix of Ann Bridson decease would in law be bound
to pay and perform.
And for the true faithful performance hereof the said Eleanor Bridson
and John Bridson do hereby bind and obliged themselves their heirs executors
admors and assigns in and under the penalty of one hundred pounds British to
be levied and paid according to law as witness our subscriptions this
seventh day of November one thousand eight hundred and twenty six.
