22 Malew The last will and testament of Ann Leyland wife of James Leyland of Castle town in the parish of Malew being on the eight day of February eighteen hundred and twenty six being of sound disposing mind and memory and understanding at the making thereof. First she left her soul to God and body to Christian burial. She left to her husband all the right and title she has to the houses situated in Castletown and Douglas to be by him enjoyed during his life time and after his death to return to her son James but in the event of her husband marriage after her death then in that case the son is to have all the right that he now has; immediately after his so marrying. She likewise willed that in the event of her son James dying before he arrives at the age of twenty one years then her illegitimate daughter Catharine Kewin is to have twenty pounds British which is twenty pounds is to operate as among on her house situated in the town of Douglas. She likewise constituted and appointed her husband sole executor of all her goods movable immoveable of what kind soever as witness her subscription the 8th Feb 1826.
