       In the Name of God Amen
I Robert Looney of Ballaterson in the parish
of  KK Maughold being weak and infirm in  
the Constitution of my body But of perfect
Sound disposing  mind Memory and Understanding  
at the wording and declaring of this my Last
Will and Testament, Hereby Revoking and
Setting a  side all other Will or Wills by 
me hereunto made Previous to the date 
hereof   Imprimis  - I Commit my Soul 
into the hands of my Creator Almighty
God - and my body to the Earth to be 
interred in a decent and Christian like
manner at the descretion of my hereafter
Mentioned  Executrix - And as touching
and respecting the Worldly Goods and effects  
that God has blessed me with. I dispose 
of in the following  way and manner.
Item  -   I leave and bequeath  to my son
Robert Looney the sum of Seven Pounds
British as Legacy  -  Item  I leave and  
bequeath to my son William the sum of
Seven Pounds british    Item  I leave and 
bequeath , to my Daughter Ann the wife 
of  William Cowin  the sum of Seven Pounds
British.   Item  I leave devise and bequeath
Unto my three daughters Catharine, Christian and
Eleanor Looney the Sum of Forty Pounds british  
each as Legacies.Which several bequests and
Legacies are not to be Commanded or paid until 
the death of my hereafter Mentioned Executrix
And Lastly I Nominate Constitute and
appoint my  well beloved  wife Margaret
Looney  Whole and Sole Executrix and Residuary
Legatee of all the rest and residue of my worldly 
Effects moveable and imoveable  -  Bills  bonds
Accounts or what ever Kind  denomination  
or Nature soever  -    In Testimony Whereof
I have set my Mark to my name This the  
fourteenth day of  November in the year
One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty

on the 13th  Novr. 1826
Margaret Looney, the Executrix named  
in the foregoing Will is sworn in Court 
in form of Law and hath given Pledges 
for the payment of Debts and Legacies 
namely  Thomas Fargher  Senr.  Of  KK  Maughold  
and John Kaighin of the town of
Ramsey    -

Know all men by these presents that I Patrick Lowey
Husband of Christian Looney who id daughter of Robert Looney
and Margaret Looney his wife Do hereby acknowledge to have
Received and being fully paid by Eleanor Looney Executrix of the
will of the said Margaret Looney the sum of Forty Pounds 
british being Legacy left to my said wife Christian Looney by
said Father Robert Looney for which said sum I allow these
presents to be full Receipt and discharge  As Witness my
Subscription this 24 November 1831

Pounds british being a Legacy bequeathed to me

Legacy I allow these presents to be a full
Receipt and do hereby desire the said Legacy
may stand Cancelled on Such Register as the
said Will is recorded  As Witness my subscription

Received from Thomas Cowin Husband of Eleanor Looney the
Executrix of the will of Margaret Looney who was the Executrix
of her Husband Robert Looney the sum of Seven Pounds
british being a Legacy bequeathed to my wife Ann Cowin
otherwise Looney by the Will of her Father the said
Robert Looney for which Legacy I allow these presents to
be a full receipt and discharge hereby exonerating releasing
and discharging him the said Thomas Cowin and Eleanor 
his said wife of and from the said Legacy before mentioned
And do hereby desire the same to be and stand cancelled
on such Register as the said Will is recorded   As Witness
my Name This 2nd day of June 1839

Know all men by these presents that I William
Cleator of the Parish of KK Maughold by and with the
Consent of Catharine Cleator alias Looney my wife
Testified becoming a Party hereto and executing these
Presents - For and in Consideration of the Just and
full sum of Forty Pounds lawfull money according
to the Currency of Great Britain paid and advanced me
by my brother in law John Looney of East Ballaterson
in the said Parish the receipt whereof He do here by 
Acknowledges the said sum being a Legacy bequeathed 
Unto the said Catharine my wife by the Last Will
and Testament of her Father Robert Looney  Have 
therefore Given Granted Confirmed Bargained and Sold
and by these presents Doth hereby Give Grant Confirm
bargain and for ever absolutely Sell unto him the
said John Looney his Exors admins and assigns all
and every Our Rights title and interest of and unto the
said Legacy of Forty Pounds british the said Legacy
so bequeathed by the said Robert Looney and payable
after the death of Margaret Looney the said Testators
wife To have and to hold unto him the said John Looney
his Exors admins and assigns and to reason the same
when it becomes due in as full and ample a manner
in every repect as I the William Cleator and Catharine
my said wife or either might in our own proper person
recover and receive the same Any thing herein contained
to the contrary Notwithstanding - And for the true
and faithfull performance Whereof I the said William 
Cleator and Catharine Cleator my said wife do hereby
bind and oblige our selves our Exors admins and
Assigns in and under the penalty of Eighty pounds
British to be Levied and paid according to Law

of the parish of Ballaugh do hereby acknowledge to have
Received and being fully by Thomas Cowin Husband of Eleanor
Looney Executrix of the will of Margaret Looney the said
Sum of Forty Pounds british in full of the Legacy bequeathed
to Catharine Looney now the wife of William Cleator that I
became entitled to by the foregoing deed of sale granted to me by
The said Wm Cleator and Catharine his wife dated the 7th May 1831
