22    Arbory
In the name of God Amen.
I John Maddrell of BallaMaddrell in the parish of KK Arbory being well
advanced in age but of sound disposing mind memory and understanding and
considering the uncertainty of this mortal life do make publish and declare
this my last will and testament in manner following:
First I recommend my soul to Almighty God and my body to Christian
burial at the discretion of my executors herein after named.
Item:  I leave and bequeath unto John Maddrell my son and heir at law the
sum of five shillings British my best desk, gun and sword, and such of
my books as he my said son may consider useful to him as legacy.
Item:  I leave and bequeath unto Elizabeth Maddrell my daughter the sum
of fifty pounds British as legacy.
Items :  I leave and bequeath unto Margaret Maddrell my daughter the sum of
fifty pounds British as legacy.
Item:  I leave and bequeath unto Jane Maddrell my daughter the sum of fifty
pounds British as legacy.
Item:  I leave and bequeath unto Robert Maddrell my son the sum of fifty
pounds British as legacy and it is my will if in case that my son John
Maddrell happeneds to die and my said son Robert Maddrell comes in as
heir at law of my said estate that then and in that case the said sum of
fifty pounds British so left and bequeathed by me to my said son Robert
Maddrell is to be equally divided between my aforesaid three daughters
Elizabeth Maddrell Margaret Maddrell and Jane Maddrell share and share
alike.
And lastly I do nominate constitute and appoint James Gell my nephew of the
parish of KK German and William Shimmin my brother in law of the parish of
Malew executors in trust of this my last will and testament
and in trust of all the rest of my goods, cash, credits, bills, bonds, and
effects of what kind or nature soever for the benefit of my aforesaid
children.  And I do appoint the aforesaid James Gell and William Shimmin
guardians and supervisors of all my children
And I do direct that the aforesaid legacies so left by me to my daughters in
my will are not to be paid to them by their said guardians until they
severally arrive at the age of twenty one years or on the day of marriage of
either of them should it so happen before they arrive at the aforesd age but
that the legacies so left by me to my aforesaid daughter, are as soon as
possible after my decease, to be laid out at interest by my aforesaid exors
and guardians of my said children for their respective benefit.  The twenty
first day of June one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven.
