36          Ballaugh
In the name of God Amen    December the 15 1826.
I Catherine Mylycarane wife of Thomas Mylycarane of the parish of Ballaugh
being weak in body but of sound disposing mind memory and understanding and
calling to mind the mortality of my body that it is appointed unto men once
to die and after death the judgment and to avoid all disputes that might
happen touching my worldly concerns after my decease do therefore make this
my last will and testament in manner following First I commend my soul to
God and my body to a Christian
burial in hope of a joyful resurrection through the merits and mediation
of Jesus Christ my ever blessed Saviour and Redeemer.
And I do devise leave give and bequeath unto my son John the sum of five
pounds also all my share of the cart, plow, and harrows as legacy.
Also I give leave and bequeath unto my two sons Patrick and William all
my share of a sum of money mortgage in William Cowles land in the
parish of Lezayre as legacy.
Also I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas all my share of a certain
sum of money mortgaged in Thomas Cowley's land in the parish of
Lezayre and also my moiety of a certain parcel of land in the parish of
Lezayre commonly called Closey Quell as legacy.
Also I give leave and bequeath unto my daughter Judy all my share of a
certain sum of money mortgaged in Dollin Cain's land in the parish of
Jurby as legacy.
Also I give leave and bequeath unto my daughter Jane the sum of ten pounds
as legacy.
Item I leave to every claimer a six pence.
Also I will and order that the before mentioned legacies are not payable
until the death of my executor hereafter mentioned.
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my loving husband whole and
full executor of this my last will and testament and all the rest of my
worldly goods of what name nature or denomination soever, he paying
unto  the witnesses of this my last will and testament the sum of half a
crown each and this to be my last will and testament.

in the sum of two hundred pounds British.
