35      Ballaugh November 15th 1827
The last will and testament of Elinor Mylecraine otherwise Corlett
widow of the Ballamooar in said parish being of sound disposing mind
and perfect memory and understanding made and declared the same as follows:
First she committed her soul to God and body to Christian burial.
2ndly She left and bequeathed unto her daughter Catharine Caine wife of John
Caine of KK Bride the sum of forty five pounds British  as legacy. 3rdly She
left and bequeathed unto her daughter Ann Kneen wife of Thomas Kneen the sum
of forty five pounds British as legacy.
4thly She left and bequeathed unto her daughter Jane Collister wife of
Thomas Collister the sum of twelve pounds British as legacy.
5thly She left and bequeathed unto her three  aforesaid daughters all her
shaped apparel of whatever description share and share alike.
6thly She left and bequeathed unto her grandson Thomas Mylecraine the sum of
seven pounds British as legacy.
7thly She left and bequeathed unto her three grandchildren William,
Elinor and Jane Mylecraine the sum of two pounds British each as legacy.
8thly She left and bequeathed unto her three grandchildren John, Thomas and
Jane Craine the sum of two pounds British each as legacy.
Lastly she nominated constituted and appointed her son Thomas whole
and sole executor of all the rest of her goods chattels and effects whatever
also her share of the meadow in KK Christ Lezayre called
Freagh e Kewley and her share of another parcel in Ballaugh called the Close
Mooar as witness my name or mark the day and year above written Elinor

At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael on the 3rd day of May 1828 Thomas
Mylecharane the executor named in the foregoing will is sworn
in court in form of law well and truly to execute the last will and
testament of Eleanor Mylecharane deceased to pay all her just debts and
legacies so far as the goods will extend and the law bind him and to
return a true and perfect inventory of the goods and effects of the
deceadent into the Archdeacon's Registry when thereto lawfully
required.  And to these ends Thomas Craine and John Craine both of Ballaugh
have entered into a bond unto the Revd John Nelson Vicar Genl in the sum of
eighty pounds British.               Probatum Est   John Nelson


I Thomas Mylecharane of the parish of Ballaugh grandson of Eleanor
Mylecharane late deceased do hereby acknowledge to have received from Thomas
Mylecharane of the said parish of Ballaugh the executor of the
last will and testament of the said Eleanor Mylecharane the sum of seven
pounds British being the whole amount of the legacy left and bequeathed
to me in and by the will of the aforesaid Eleanor Mylecharane and I do
hereby release acquit exonerate and discharge the said Thos
Mylecharance his exors admors and assigns of the same forever.  As witness
my subscription this 26th day of Nov 1828

I Eleanor Mylecharaine of the parish of KK Michael late of the parish of
Ballaugh do acknowledged to have received from Thomas Mylecharane of the
parish of Ballaugh executor of the last will and testament of Eleanor
Mylecharane late deceased the sum of two pounds British being the
whole amount of the legacy left and bequeathed to me in and by the last will
and testament of the said Eleanor Mylecharane And I do hereby
release acquit exonerate and discharge the said Thomas Mylecharane
his heirs exors admors and assigns of the same forever.  As witness my
subscription or mark to my name this 27th Dec 1828.

I Adam Watson husband of Jane Watson als Mylecharane of the parish of German
do acknowledge to have received from Margt Mylecharane the executor of the
last will and testament of Thos Mylecharane deceased
who was exor of the last will of Eleanor Mylecharane  also deceased the sum
of two pounds British being the amount of the legacy left and bequeathed to
my wife in and by the last will and testament of the aforesaid Eleanor
Mylecharane late of the parish of Ballaugh and I do hereby release acquit
and discharge the said Margt Mylecharane her heirs exors, admors, assigns of
the same foever.  As witness my mark to my name this 24th day of October

I John Caine husband of Catharine Caine als Mylecharane of the parish of KK
Bride do acknowledge to have received from Thomas Mylecharane of the parish
of Ballaugh the executor of the last will and testament of Eleanor
Mylecharane late deceased the sum of forty five pounds British together with
the proportion of the apparel of the deceadent being the whole of the legacy
bequeathed to my wife Cath Caine in and by the said will and testament of
the said Eleanor Mylecharane.  And I do hereby acquit exonerate and
discharge the said Thomas Mylecharane his exors admors and assigns of the
same and every part thereof forever.  As witness my subscription this 3rd

I  Thomas Callister husband of Jane Callister als Mylecharane of the
parish of KK German do hereby acknowledge to have received from
Thomas Mylecharane of the parish of Ballaugh the executor of the last
will and testament of Eleanor Mylecharane late deceased the sum of
twelve pounds British together with the proportion of the apparel of the
deceadent being the whole amount of the legacy bequeathed to my wife Jane
Callister in and by the said will of the said Eleanor Mylecharane and
I do hereby release acquit and discharge the said Thomas Mylecharane his
exors admors and assigns of the same and  every part thereof forever. As
witness my subscription this 3rd day of May 1828.

I Thomas Kneen husband of Anne Kneen als Mylecharane of the parish of
Ballaugh do hereby acknowledge to have received from Thomas Mylecharane of
this parish of Ballaugh the executor of the last will and testament of
Eleanor Mylecharane late deceased the sum of forty five pounds British
together with the proportion of the apparel of the deceadent being the whole
amount of the legacy bequeathed to my said wife Anne Kneen in and by the
said last will and testament of the said Eleanor Mylecharane .  And I do
hereby release acquit exonerate and discharge the said Thomas Mylecharane
his exors admors and assigns of the same and every part thereof forever.  As
witness my subscription this 3rd day of May 1828.  Thos Kneen

We John Craine Thomas Craine and Jane Craine all of the parish of
Ballaugh grandchildren of Eleanor Mylecharane do hereby acknowledge to have
received form Thomas Mylecharane of the said parish of Ballaugh
the executor of the last will and testament  of Eleanor Mylecharane deceased
the legacies left and bequeathed to us severally and
respectively in and by the will of the said Eleanor Mylecharane. And I
hereby acquit and discharge the said Thomas Mylecharane his heirs executor
admors and assigns of the same for ever.  As witness our subscriptions this
25th day of May 1829.

John Craine Thomas Craine and Jane Craine the subscribing parties to the
above written release and discharge acknowledged the same to be their proper
act and to have been paid the said legacies.

I William Mylecharane of the parish of KK Michael do acknowledge to
have received from Margt Mylecharane the executrix of the last will and
testament of Thos Mylecharane late of the parish of Ballaugh deceased who
was executor of Eleanor Mylecharane also deceased the sum of two pounds
British being the amount of the legacy left and bequeathed to me
in and by the last will of the aforesaid Eleanor Mylecharane my grandmother.
And I do hereby release acquit and discharge the said
Margt Mylecharane her heirs exors admors and assigns of the same forever.
As witness my mark to my name this 24th day of Oct 1837 William Mylecharane

Know all Men by these presents that we Thos Craine of Ballaugh and John
Craine of Ballaugh are held and firmly bound unto the Reverend Vicar General
Nelson in the sum of eighty pounds British to the payment
whereof well and truly to be made we bind ourselves our executors and
administrators. Witness our names this 3rd May 1828.
And whereas the Eccl Court hath this day granted probate of the will of
Ellr Mylecharane deceased unto Thos Mylecharane.
Now the condition of the above bond is such that if the said executor
shall well and truly execute the last will of the deceadent and shall in
all things relating thereto conform to the laws of this isle and the
orders of the Eccl Courts thereof and the other  that this day taken then
his present  obligation to be void otherwise the remain in full force and
