		General

			The humble petition of
			William Callister of the Parish
			Of Andreas
Sheweth:
		That sometime in the month of
	December last Jane Callister alias Harrison
	Your petitioner’s wife departed this life
	Intestate leaving one child under age.
		That your petitioner intends 
	Leaving the Island in the course of a
	Few days but is desirous previous
	To his departure to administer to the
	Estate of his said wife and also to be sworn
	Guardian to his said Child under
	Age.
			Your Petitioner therefore
			Prays that your Reverence
			Will be pleased upon
			Hearing of this petition to
			Swear him as administrator
			To the effects of his said
			Wife and also as Guardian
			Of the said child under
			Age and your petitioner 
			Will pay.
Ordered that this petitioner do 
Come on to be heard at an
Eccles’ Court to be holden 
At Andreas two day hence
All people parties hereon
Are to have due notice
Given this 19th April 1828

	At Andreas April 19th 1828
William Callister the petitioner is decreed
Admin. Of the goods and effects of his dec’d
Wife Jane and is sworn well ad truly to
Administer the same and in all things
Relating there to to my “_____” with the Laws of this 
Isle and the duty of an administration
And he is further sworn well and truly
To execute the office and discharge the duties
Of Guardian and supervisor of his infant
Daughter Jane Callister and to these ends Thos
Harrison and John Cannell have given
Pledges. Decretum Est
