9 Douglas
In the name of God Amen I Margaret Skillicorn of the Town of Douglas
spinster being of sound mind and memory and understanding do make this my
last will and testament in manner following
I leave and bequeath unto my Sister Mrs. Jane Hartland for and during her
natural life a certain dwelling house situate in Drumgold street in the
town of Douglas called and commonly known by the name of Patrick Cross's house
I leave and bequeath unto my nephew Joseph Skillicorn of the town the above
named dwelling house to be possessed by him my said nephew immediately
after the decease of my Sister Jane Hartley
And I do hereby order that any person or persons who shall dispute in Any
matter contained in this my last will and testament that the said person or
persons be paid the Sum of One shilling British — only as a legacy
And lastly I do nominate constitute and appoint Jane Hartley my Sister of
the town of Douglas sole Executrix of this my last Will and testament and
residuary Legatee of all the rest of my goods Property and Effects of what
nature or kind soever
In witness whereof the said Margaret Skillicorn hath hereunto subscribed
her name the 13th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and Twenty eight
