To confirm the last will and testament of Catharine Shimin of the
Renney in the parish of Kk German being old and feeble and of sound mind and
memory thanks be to God calling to mind the mortality of my body do make and
ordain this my last will and testament.
First I commit my soul to Almighty God and my body to Christian burial.
As touching my worldly goods and effects I dispose in this following
manner:
First I left and bequeath to my daughter Catharine Shimin five shillings
with my clothes and a feather bed.
Secondly I left and bequeath Ann Quayle five shillings and one shilling
each to all those that might be authorized to claim.
Lastly I constitute make and appoint my son Hugh Shimin whole executor
of all the residuum of my goods and effects being of whatsoever kind or
denomination hereby ratifying and confirming this to be my last will and
testament dated Feb 3rd 1830.
Signed acknowledge pronounced and delivered by Catharine Shimin to be her
last will and and testament in the presence of us.
