           Bride
The humble petition of Cath Goldsmith widow
Sheweth:  That John Goldsmith your petitioners late husband lately departed
this life intestate leaving your petitioner his widow and William, John,
Ewan, Thomas, James, Catharine the wife of John Craine and Jane wife
of John Joughin and Isabella wife of Thos Looney and Anne Goldsmith spinster
his children.
That it is necessary that administration of the personal estate of the
said intestate should be granted to some proper person or persons. Wherefore
petr prays a hearing and that your Reverence may be pleased to grant
administration of the estate and effects of the said intestate
and petr will pray.   John Cls Stephen for Petitioner
Ordered that this petition come to be heard at Ramsey on Friday next whereof
all parties to have notice.

At Ramsey Sept 9th 1831
Upon hearing this petition in presence of parties or their advocates Thos
Looney of Lezayre and John Joughin of Bride are sworn in court well and
truly to administer the estate and effects of John Goldsmith deceased -
to pay his debts and funeral expenses so far as the goods will extend and
the law bind them.  To return into the Episcopal Registry when required a
full inventory of the estate and an accurate account of all their
transactions touching the same.  And to these ends Wm Goldsmith and John
Craine have joined in a bond in the sum of three hundred pounds British.
