                   Michael
In the name of God Amen. I John Quayle of Ballalheih in 
the parish of Kirk Michael being weak in body but of sound 
and disposing mind memory and understanding at making 
this my last will and testament. 
I commend my soul to God and my body to Christian burial. 
I leave and bequeath to my daughter Jane Quayle all and 
singular my whole estate of houses and lands situated in 
the said parish of Michael. Reserving the issues and profits 
of the said houses and land to the use of my beloved wife 
during her natural life. She my said daughter Jane paying to 
her three sisters ten pounds British each when she possess the said lands. 
Lastly I constitute nominate ordain and appoint my beloved 
wife Ann Quayle otherwise Crellin sole executrix of all 
the rest of my goods credits chattels and effects of what 
kinds or nature soever cutting off and debarring all claimers 
with one shilling legacy. To the witnesses of the will two 
shillings and six pence each. As witness my name this 26th day of August 1828.

I leave and bequeath to my aforesaid three daughters Margaret, 
Isabella, and Ann the further sum of ten pounds British each 
to be paid by my aforesaid daughter Jane when she comes to the 
possession of the houses and lands as aforesaid. Witness my 
subscription this 13th day of January 1831

At a Chapter Court holden at Kirk Michael 27 Oct 1831 
The executrix is sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges for 
the payment of debts and legacies namely William Boyde and John Caine 
both of the parish of Kirk Michael

John Mylrea husband Isabella a legatee named in the beforegoing will 
appeared at the registry this first day of January 1837 and acknowledges 
to have received and been paid the sum of twenty pounds British the 
amount of two legacies of ten pounds British bequeathed in and by 
this will and he hereby exonerates discharges and acquits the said executrix 
her administrators and assigns of the same and every part thereof.

John Quayle Senior, John Quayle junior and James Kaighin husband of 
Ellinor Quayle appeared at the Registry this twenty fourth day of January 
one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven and acknowledged to have 
received and been fully paid the sum of twenty pounds British the amount 
of two legacies of ten pounds British bequeathed in and by this will to 
Margaret the daughter of said deceadent and they and the husband, 
son and son in law of the said Margaret deceased do hereby jointly and 
severally exonerate discharge and acquit the executrix her executors 
administrators and assigns of the same and of every part thereof.

Know all Men by these present, that we, William Boyde of the parish 
of Michael and John Caine of the parish of Michael are held and firmly 
bound to William Lord Bishop of Sodor and Mann, and his Successors, 
in the sum of twenty pounds British; to the payment whereof well and 
truly to be made, we bind Ourselves, our Heirs, Executors, Adminisrators, 
and Assigns, jointly and severally, by these presents, to the said 
Lord Bishop and his successors. 
Witness our Subscriptions this 27 day of Oct 1831. 

Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Island hath this Day granted 
probate of the will of John Quayle deceased, to Ann Quayle his widow 
Now the condition of the above obligation is such, that if the said Ann 
Quayle shall well and truly administer the Estate and Effects of the 
said John Quayle deceased; and shall in all things relating thereto 
conform to the Laws of this Isle, the Orders of the Ecclesiastical Courts thereof, 
and the oath she hath this day taken, then the foregoing Obligation 
to be void, otherway to be and remain in full force and virtue in Law.
