In the name of God, Amen.
I, Jane Killip otherwise Lawson, wife
of John Killip near Laxey in the Parish
of KK Lonan, being very weak in body
but of perfect mind and memory at the making
here of thanks be given unto God therefore calling
unto mind the mortality of my body knowing
it is appointed unto all men once to die do make
and ordain this my last will and testament
that is to say principally and first of all
I give and recommend my soul unto the hands
of Almighty God who gave it and
my body I recommend to the earth to be
buried in decent Christian burial and on
touching such worldly goods where with it hath
pleased God to bless me within this life I ? give
and dispose of the same in the following
manner and form
First I give and bequeath unto my daughter
Jane wife of John Killey of the town of Douglas
two shillings and sixpence British.
Also I give and bequeath unto my son Patrick
Killip of the Parish of Kirk Lonan two shillings
and sixpence British.
Also I give and bequeath unto my son
Thomas Killip of the town of Douglas two
shillings and sixpence British.
Also I give and bequeath unto my son
Joseph Killip of the town of Douglas two
shillings and sixpence British..
Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter
Margaret wife of Daniel Kermode of the Parish
of KK Lonan three pounds British.
Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter
Elinor wife of James Trawartha miner
three pounds British.
I give two shillings and sixpence to any person
or persons having a right to claim in this my
last will and testament.
Also I give and bequeath unto my well beloved
son William Killip whom I like wise constitute
make and ordain my sole executor of all my
goods chattels [……..] and effects whether
movable or immovable and I do hereby utterly
revoke and disannul all former wills ratifying and
confirming this and no other to be my last will
and testament in witness whereof I have here unto
set my hand and mark this the 15th day of June
1831.
