The humble petition of John King of Peel
Sheweth That Alice King your petitioner's wife some time ago
departed this life first having made and published her last will
and testament in writing and thereof appointed your petitioner
executor
That your petitioner is desirous that the said will should be
proved and received upon record without delay.
Wherefor your petitioner prays a hearing of this petition and that
the said will may be proved and received upon record and your
petitioner sworn executor thereof and your petitioner will pray.

I Alice King of the town of Peel wife of John King of the same
town being at present of sound mind memory and understanding
at the making hereof though weak in body do in order to settle
and dispose of my worldly affairs make this my last will and
testament in manner and form following:
First I commend my soul to Almighty God in the hope of a
joyful resurrection and my body to be decently interred by my
executor herein after named.
Secondly I leave and bequeath to my son Charles King my right
and title being the one half or moiety of that dwelling house
situate near the beach in the said town now occupied by John
Morrison also the one moiety of that dwelling house and garden
situate near the beach aforesaid at present occupied by Thos
Hewson also the one half or moiety of that garden adjoining
John Kelly's house and adjoining the Kirk Patrick Road the
whole of the before mentioned property to be possessed by him
at the age of twenty five years and not sooner.
I leave and bequeath to my son Thomas King my right and title
being the one half or moiety of the dwelling house wherein we
now reside together with the one half of the stable opposite
thereto to be possessed by him at the age of twenty five years
and not sooner.
I leave and bequeath to my said two sons Charles and Thomas
equally between them share and share alike the whole of my
goods bonds, notes, chattels and effects of every description to
be possessed and enjoyed by them when they respectively attain
the age of twenty five years and I do hereby appoint my loving
husband John King executor in trust to carry this my will into
full effect barring all other claimants with two shillings and six
pence legacy and declaring this to be my last will and testament
as witness my name this seventeenth August 1832 .
