In the name of God Amen.
I Margaret Harrison alias Nelson of Ballaclague in the parish of KK Arbory
being of sound mind memory and understanding do proceed and make this my
last will and testament in manner and form following:
I commit my soul to God and my body to decent Christian burial.
Item: I leave to the poor of the said parish of KK Arbory the sum of ten
pounds British.
I leave to the Methodist Missionary Committee the sum of ten pounds British
to be applied to, and for the use of the Methodist Missionaries. Item: I
leave and bequeath unto Edward Clucas the youngest son of the late Thomas
Clucas of the town of Douglas Druggist the sum of twenty pounds British as
legacy.
And I hereby direct that the said legacy shall be applied for the benefit
of the said Edward Clucas by my son in law John Bridson of Ballavarane
in whatever may he the said John Bridson may think best.
Item: I leave and bequeath to my grand daughter Margaret Bridson daughter
of Mr John Bridson of Ballavarvane the sum of twenty five pounds British as
legacy to be paid her when she attains the age of
twenty one years.
Item: I leave and bequeath to my grand daughter Isabella Bridson sister
of the above mentioned Margaret Bridson the sum of twenty five pounds
British as legacy to be paid her when she attains the age of twenty one
years.
Item: I leave and bequeath to my granddaughter Ann Jane Bridson sister of
the before named Margaret and Isabella Bridson the sum of twenty
five pounds British as legacy to be paid her when she attains the age of
twenty one years.
Item: I leave and bequeath to my son John Harrison the sum of five
guineas as legacy.
Item: I leave and bequeath to my son James Harrison the sum of five guineas
as legacy.
Item: I leave and bequeath to my son in law John Bridson of Ballavarvane
the sum of one hundred pounds British as legacy.
Item: I leave and bequeath to all persons pretending to have a claim in
my will the sum of six pence British.
I nominate, constitute, and appoint my daughter Ann Bridson the wife of the
said John Bridson, my whole and sole executrix and residuary legatee of all
the rest of my goods, chattels and effects of what kind or denomination so
ever including a Bond and Security granted to me by Humphrey Stephen of
Ballavarane in the parish of Jurby for the sum of seven hundred pounds
British and affecting certain lands in the parish of KK Maughold called and
known by the name of Magher-e-Kew. The
interest on which bond and security I have already settled by a Deed on
my said son James Harrison during his natural life.
I witness my name and subscription this thirty first day of January

John Bridson is sworn administrator in trust with the will annexed of
Margaret Harrison deceased to pay all her just debts and funeral
expenses so far forth as the goods will extend and the law bind him and
to return a true and perfect inventory of the said deceased estate and
effects and of his acts and proceedings unto the Episcopal Registry of
this island when thereto lawfully required and to these ends Thomas
Moore and James Cain have become bound unto the Lord Bishop and his
successors in the sum of two thousand pounds British
