Know all men by these presents, that we; Caesar Gell in the Parish 
of Patrick and Thos. Quane of (blank) in the parish of (blank) are 
held and firmly bound to [William] Lord Bishop of Sodor and 
Mann, and his Successors, in the sum of Fifty pounds British; to 
the payment whereof well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, 
our Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns, jointly and 
severally, by these presents, to the said Lord Bishop and his 
Successors.
Witness our Subscriptions, this 21st day of November 1833.

Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Island has this Day 
granted probate of the Last Will and Testament of Thos. Key 
deceased, to Patrick Key and now the condition of the above 
obligation is such, that if the said Patrick Key shall well and truly 
administer the Estate and Effects of the said Thos. Key deceased; 
and shall in all things relating thereto conform to the Laws of this 
Isle, the Orders of the Ecclesiastical Courts thereof, and the Oath 
he hath this day taken, then the foregoing Obligation to be void, 
otherway to be and remain in full force and virtue in Law.

I Thos. Key of the parish of Kirk Patrick being weak in body but 
sound and perfect in mind and memory do hereby settle my natural 
goods in manner as follows;
First I commend my Soul to almighty God and my body to a 
Christian Buryal.
Item: I leave and bequeath to my grandson Thomas Key the sum 
of two pound.
Item: And lastly I do nominate and appoint my loving son Patrick 
Key whole and Sole Executor of all the rest of my goods moveable 
and immoveable what soever kind or denomination and cut all 
other persons that will claim in my goods with a legacy according 
to Law.
As Witness my subscription or mark to my name this 27th November 1830.

At a Chapter Court holden at Peel 21st November 1833 the 
Executor is sworn in court in from of Law and hath given pledges 
for the payment of Debts and Legacies namely Caesar Gell and 
Thomas Quane both of Patrick.
