I Thomas Bell of Ballakilley in the parish of KK Malew being infirm in
health but of disposing mind and memory, Thank God, and calling to mind the
uncertainty of this mortal life and in order to settle my worldly
goods and effects do thereof remake this my last will and testament.
First I commit my soul to Almighty God and body to a Christian burial.
Secondly I leave and bequeath to four of my sons namely Thomas, John,
William and Charles one guinea each and five shillings to my son
Christopher
And thirdly and lastly I leave and bequeath all the residue and remainder
of my goods rights chattels and effect whatsoever unto my wife Esther Bell
And do hereby constitute and appoint her sole executrix and residuary
legatee thereof and excluding all cravers with five shilling each as
legacy.
In witness whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names this 30th day of
November 1819

The humble petition of Christopher Bell of the parish of Malew
Sheweth: That Thomas Bell your petitioner's father on or about the 1st day
of November last departed this life but previously thereto duly made and
published his last will and testament in writing whereof he
appointed his wife Esther executrix.
That previously to Probate having been granted to the will of the said
Thomas will the said Esther Bell also departed this life having also duly
made and published her last will and testament whereof she appointed
your petitioner executor that John Mylechreest one of the subscribing
witnesses to both the sad wills is at present confined to his bed and
unable to attend at court.
That it is necessary that probate should be granted to the said will for
benefit of all persons interested herein.
Wherefore your petitioner prays a hearing of the petition at a Special Court
to be appointed by your Reverence for that purpose and that probate of the
last will and testament of the said Thomas Bell and
Esther Bell may be granted to your petitioners according to law and your
petitioner will pray. Harrison for the petitioner.
Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at a Special Eccl Court to
be holden at Ballamodda in the parish of Malew on Wednesday next at
12 oclock in the aforenoon.
