17 Maughold This paper writing purports to be the last will and testament of Philip Skillicorn of the parish of KK Michael spoken by word of mouth and declared by him to be his last will and testament the 23rd day November 1834. In the first place he commended his soul to God and his body to Christian burial. Secondly He left and bequeathed the sum of one shilling each to his children. Thirdly He left and bequeathed all his right title property and interest that he had of in and unto the house wherein he lived with the garden part of the quarterland of the white house to his beloved wife Margaret Skillicorn. Lastly He ordained nominated and appointed his beloved wife whole and sole executrix of all the residue of his goods and effects both moveable and immoveable of all nature kinds or descriptions - Written this 3d of March 1834. Witnessed by Jane Crow her x mark Wm Cooll At a Chapter Court holden in the Court House at KK Michael on the 24th day of April 1834. Margaret Skillicorn the executrix in the foregoing will named is sworn in court in form of law, well and truly to execute the last will and testament of Philip Skillicorn deceased, to pay all his just debts and legacies so far as the goods and effects of the deceadent will extend and the law bind her and to do all other acts and things pertaining to the office of executor according to law and to these ends she has given pledges namely Thomas Skillicorn and John Stewart both of the parish of KK Michael Probatum est Dan Nelson
