In the name of God Amen. I Margaret Cain formerly of Ballnagraue of the
parish of KK Marown but now of KK Braddan(widow) being of sound mind memory
and understanding do ordain and appoint this for my last will
and testament as follows:
First I commit my soul to God and my body unto a Christian burial.
I leave and bequeath unto my three sons namely William, Thomas, and Matthias
Cain the sum of five shillings British each.
I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth wife of John Corkill the sum
of five shillings British and lastly I nominate and appoint my
daughter Ann Lewthwait als Cain the relict or widow of James
Lewthwait (now deceased) whole and sole executrix of this my last will
and testament and residuary legatee of the rest of my goods and effects
movable and immovable of what kind, name, and nature soever as
witness my subscription this twenty fourth day of January one thousand eight
hundred and thirty five (1835) Margaret Cain

At a Chapter Court holden at Douglas on the 10th of June 1836.
Anne Lewthwaite the executrix in the foregoing will names is sworn in court
in form of law well and truly to execute the last will and
testament of Margaret Caine deceased to pay all her just debts and legacies
so far as the goods and effects of the decedent will extend and the law bind
her and to do all other acts and deeds pertaining to the
office of executrix according to law and to these ends she has given pledges
namely William Caine and Matthias Caine both of the parish of Marown.

Know all Men by these Presents that We William Caine in the parish of Marown
and Matthias Caine of the parish of Marown are held and firmly bound to the
Rev B. Philpot, Archdeacon of Sodor and Mann, and his Successors, in the sum
of fifty pounds British; to the payment whereof well and truly to be made,
we bind Ourselves, our Heirs, Executors, Administrators, and Assigns,
jointly and severally, by these presents, to the said Archdeacon and his
Successors.
Witness our Subscriptions this 10 day of June 1836.
Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Island hath this day granted
administration of Margaret Cain deceased, to Ann Lewthwaite.
Now the condition of the above Obligation is such, that if the said Ann
Lewthwaite shall well and truly administer, the Estate and Effects of
the said Margaret Cain deceased; and shall in all things relating thereto
conform to the Laws of this Isle, the Orders of the Ecclesiastical Courts
thereof and the Oath she has this day taken, then the foregoing
Obligation to be void, otherway to be and remain in full force and virtue
