24 Patrick Know all men by these present, that we John Kelly in the parish of German and John Clucas of the parish of Patrick are held and firmly bound to the Rev B. Philpot, Archdeacon of Sodor and Mann, and his successors, the sum of seventy pounds British; to the payment whereof well and truly to be made, we bind Ourselves, our Heirs, Executors, Administrators, and assigns, jointly and severally, by these presents, to the said Archdeacon and his successors. Witness our subscription this 1st of June 1836. Whereas the Eccl Court of this island hath this day granted probate of the last will and testament of Isabella Crellin deceased to Robert Taggart in right of his wife Isabella Taggart otherwise Crellin. Now the condition of the above Obligation is such, that if the said Robert Taggart shall well and truly administer the estate and Effects of the said Isabella Crellin deceased; and shall in all things relating thereto conform to the laws of this isle, the Orders of the Ecclesiastical Courts thereof, and the oath hath this day taken, then the foregoing obligation to be void, other way to be and remain in full force and virtue in Law.
