In the name of God Amen.
The last will and testament of Elenor Quaggan of the parish of Malew - being
in perfect mind and memory at the making of the same.
First I commit my soul to God and my body into Christian burial.
Secondly I leave and bequeath unto my well beloved son Thomas Quaggin twenty
pounds British as legacy.
Thirdly I leave and bequeath unto my grand daughter Elenor Kaighin the sum
of fourteen pounds British as legacy.
Fourthly I leave and bequeath unto my grandson Charles Kaighin the sum
of three pounds British as legacy.
Fifthly I leave and bequeath unto my grandson Wm Kaighin the sum of one
pound British as legacy.
Sixthly I leave and bequeath unto my grand daughter Margarett Kaighin
the sum of five shillings British as legacy.
Seventhly I leave my well beloved daughter Margarett Kaighin to be whole and
sole executrix of all my goods moveable and immoveable whatever debarring
all others with two shillings and six pence legacy.
Whereunto I put my name to the same this the 28th day of January one
thousand eight hundred and thirty six - Jan 28th 1836.

At a Chapter Court holden at Castletown on the 3rd day of June 1836. Charles
Kaighin husband of Margaret Kaighin als Quaggin is sworn
executor in court in form of law well and truly to execute the last will
and testament of Eleanor Quaggin deceased to pay all her just debts and
legacies so far as the goods and effects of the deceadent will extend and
the law bind him and to do all other acts and deeds pertaining to the
office of executor according to law. And to these ends he has given pledges
namely John Bridson and John Bridson both of the parish of
Malew.

Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Quaggin Joiner son of
Elinor Quaggin deceased do hereby own and acknowledge to have received from
Charles Kaighin executor in right of his wife, Margaret Kaighin the sum of
twenty pounds British being the amount of a legacy to me bequeathed in and
by the last will and testament of the said Eleanor Quaggin which bears date
the twenty eight day of January one thousand eight hundred and thirty six
and the probate of which will bears date the third June 1836. And I the
said Thos Quaggin do hereby acknowledged to have received the said sum in
full for all my claim under the said will
and do therefore direct the said legacy to be cancelled upon record this

Know all men by these presents that William Creere and Eleanor Creer
otherwise Kaighin his wife which said Eleanor is a legatee named in the
last will and testament of Eleanor Quaggin late of the parish of Malew
deceased who was the widow of William Quaggin deceased do hereby own and
acknowledged to have received and to be fully paid and satisfied
from Charles Kaighin of Malew the executor in trust appointed in right of
his wife Margaret Kaighin alias Quaggin of the said will the sum of
fourteen pounds British the amount of the legacy bequeathed to the said
Eleanor Creere alias Kaighin and by the said will which bears date the
twenty eight day of January one thousand eight hundred and thirty six
and has been duly received and recorded. And the said William Creer and
Eleanor Creer do hereby fully acquit exonerate and discharge the said
Charles Kaighin in his said capacity from any further claim or demand under
the said will and do direct that the said legacy and bequest be and stand
cancelled upon record.
