       To the Worshipfull Thomas Arthur Corkill
       Vicar General of the diocese of Sodor and Man
       The humble petition of Jane Scarffe of the Parish of Kk Lonan 
       Executrix of the Will of Jane Scarffe her mother.
Sheweth 
      That the Testatrix of Jane Scarffe departed 
	  this life some time in Month of October in the year 
      1834. But previous to her decease duly made and 
	  published her last Will and testament 
      Whereof she nominated and appointed your Petnr 
	  whole and sole Executrix as by the said will 
      as may appear.
      That your Petit would further state that the Estate 
	  of the deceased the Testatrix is now in the state 
      as required due attention to be paid to:
           Wherefore your petit humbly prays your 
		   Worship may be pleased to order her to be sworn
           Executrix of the said Will in form of law or 
		   such other person as to your petitr as to your
           Worship may xxxx meet and your Petitr 
		   as in duty bound shall pray. 

Ordered that the Petition do come on to be heard before me  
at an Ecclesiastical Court to be 
holden at Ramsey on 22nd January instant. 
Whereof the next of kin of the deceased and all 
other proper parties are to have due notice.

                At an Eccl Court held in Ramsey  
                the 22nd January 1836
Thomas Scarff and John Scarff next of kin of Jane Scarff 
deceased not having appeared in this
Court to offer any resistance to the 
Will of the sd Jane Scarff though duly 
summonsed to this 
Court. I am of opinion the same xx ? 
be received and probate granted thereon proof of the 
Execution then of being duly given and the same 
is therefore so ordered and adjudged 
accordingly: -

The Last Will and  Testament of Jane Scarffe of 
the parish of Lonan who made or published her 
last will on or about the 18th June one thousand 
eight hundred and thirty four being of sound 
mind and memory at the making thereof .    
xx First she committed her soul to God and body 
to Christian Burial as for her worldly goods and 
effects she left them in the following manner.
First she left and bequeathed unto her son 
John Scarffe the sum of two and sixpence.
She left and bequeathed unto her son Thomas 
Scarffe the sum of two and sixtance.
She left and bequeathed unto her daughter 
Ann Scarffe the wife of John xxxxx the  
sum of two and sixpence .
She left and bequeathed unto her sister 
Ann Hogg two caps and a shift.
She left unto her daughter Margrett Scarffe a 
feather bed and bolster without the xxxxxxx  
after the dicease or the longest liver of us 
Jane Scarffe and Phillip Scarffe my husband.
And lastly she nominate and appoint her daughter 
Jane Scarffe whole and sole Exetrix of all the 
rest of her goods and chattels moveable and 
imoveable of what kind or nature soever 
before us the Witnesses of this Will.

given pledges for payment of debts and legacies namely
