Malew
The humble petition of Margaret Quayle widow daughter of Charles
Clague late of Malew deceased
Sheweth: That the said Charles Clague lately departed this life intestate
leaving trifling personal estate.
That it is requisite and necessary that administration of the said estate
should be executed and the next of kin have consented that your
petitioner should be appointed.
Your petitioner therefore prays a hearing of that for the reasons aforesaid
administration of the said estate be committed to one
petitioner in usual form and your petitioner will pray.
Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at a court to be held at
Douglas on Friday next in the will of Charles.

At a court holden at Douglas 21 July 1837
Margaret Quayle is sworn well and truly to administer the estate
aforesaid effects of Charles Clague deceased pay all his just debts and
funeral expenses so far forth as the goods and effects extend and the
law bind her and to return a true and perfect inventory of the said
decedents estate and effects and of his acts and proceedings in the premises
unto the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese when thereto
lawfully required and to these ends Robert Mylchreest of Malew hath become
bound unto the Lord Bishop and his successors in the sum of twenty pounds
British.

We the next of kin of Charles Clague deceased do hereby consent that
Margaret Quayle his daughter shall be appointed and sworn
administratrix of his estate. Witness our names:
