In the name of God Amen.
I Isabella Cretney widow of the Braid in the parish of Marown being
feeble in bodily strength but of a sound mind memory and understanding
at the making hereof and considering the uncertainty of this transitory
life and in order to settle and dispose of such worldly goods as God of
his great bounty hath been pleased to bestow upon me - I do make this
my last will and testament in manner following this 2nd day of
December 1839.
First I commit my soul to God and my body to Christian burial at the
discretion of my executor herein after named.
I do leave and bequeath unto my son Robert Cretney the sum of five
shillings.
I do leave and bequeath unto my son Wm Cretney the sum of one pound.
I also leave and bequeath unto my son Thomas Cretney the sum of three
pounds.
I do leave and bequeath unto my son Joseph Cretney the sum of one pound. I
do leave and bequeath unto my daughter Isabella Cretney alias Creer the sum
of two pounds and a feather bed with out any bed clothing.
I do leave and bequeath unto my daughter Catharine Cretney alias
Quilliam the sum of two pounds and the oak arm chair.
I do leave and bequeath unto my sister Elizabeth Fargher als Coulthard
the sum of one pound.
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my son John Cretney for to be
my whole and sole executor of the rest of all my goods and effects moveable
and immoveable of what kind or denomination soever and this
to be my last will and testament.
