I Matthias Cain of Corvalla in the parish of Kk German being weak in body
but of sound mind memory and understanding and calling to mind the
uncertainty of this life do make this my last will and testament in
manner following.
First I commit my soul to God and my body to a Christian burial.
Item I leave devise and bequeath to my son John Cain my topcoat as
legacy.
Item I leave devise and bequeath to my son Thomas Cain one pound
British as legacy.
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my son William Cain whole and
sole executor of all the rest and residue of my goods rights credits
chattels and effects movable and immovable of what kind or nature
soever excluding and debarring all other person or persons that will
claim any further right to my goods and effects one shilling legacy each
in witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed or ordered my mark to my name
this the 8th day of May 1838.
