      Ballaugh
I William Mylecraine of the Curragh in the parish of Ballaugh being of a
weak body but sound in mind and memory and not forgetful of the uncertainty
of life do hereby publish and declare this to be my last will
and testament.
My soul I commit to that Almighty being from whom I received it humbly
hoping that he will pardon all my sins through our Lord Jesus Christ and
my body to a decent and a Christian burial.
And next I will and bequeath unto my daughters Mary, Jane, and Ann the sum
of five pounds British each.
Likewise unto my sons William and Thomas the sum of five pounds each British
to be paid unto all and each of them severally by my executors as they
arrive at the age of twenty one years.
I also will and bequeath that Mary Mylecraine als Keig my wife for the
love that I have unto her be sole executor of all my monies goods and
chattels real and personal.
Likewise of a certain piece of intack land which we have bought and also the
buildings thereon erected by us and wherein we now reside to be entirely at
her own disposal in consideration whereof she is to rear and bring up our
children as a Christian mother ought to do.  But should she
die before our children arrive at the above mentioned age the said
legacies to be paid by her heirs executors administrators or assigns.  I
therefore declare this to be  my last will and testament this the 7th day
of Feb 1840.  William Mylecraine.

At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael 26th November 1840.
The executrix is sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges for
the payment of debts and legacies namely John Keig of Ballakeig and William
Killip of Ballanenag both in the parish of Ballaugh
