The humble petition of Mrs Mary Quirk of Ash Lodge.
Sheweth:  That Joseph Quirk your petitioner's husband departed this life
on the 25th March last and your petr is desirous that she should be sworn
administratrix to his estate.
Wherefore she prays as hearing of this petition and that she may be
sworn according to law and she will pray.

15 Apr 1840 Special Eccl Court held Douglas
Mary Quirk sworn executrix with pledge Robert Higgins of Peel.

By virtue of the Rev Vicar General Hartwell's authority I have noticed S. M.
Looney and wife, Wm Bridson and Quaggin all of Malew under the petition
of Mrs Mary Quirk for administration to the estate of her husband Joseph
Quirk deceased for Wednesday next at Douglas this 11th of April 1840. John

By virtue of an order granted on the petition of Mrs Mary Quirk by the Revd
F. B. Hartwell Vicar General I have charged Margaret Bell and left
charge for Cathrine Kenley as the next of kin of Joseph Quirk deceased to
appear before his Reverence at a Special Court to be holden in Douglas on
Wednesday next by one o'clock in the afternoon when called to answer
the suit and petition of the said petitioner this 10th April 1840
