Michael 1841
In the name of God Amen.
I Philip Boyde of the parish of Michael being greatly advanced in age and
decline of life and being weak in body but of sound mind memory and
understanding do make this my last will and testament in form and
manner following viz:
In the first place I commend my soul to God and my body to Christian
burial.
Secondly I leave and bequeath to the children of John Crow Mason viz:
William Crow, Ann Crow, Elizabeth Cowley the wife of Thomas Cowley,
Catharine Crow, Margaret the wife of Edward Lewin and Elinor Crow the sum of
two shillings and six pence British each as legacy and six pence British
each to all cravers.
Thirdly I leave to John Crow where I now reside the legacy of nine
pounds or thereabouts which was left to my father Philip Boyde, to me, and
which was to be paid to me by the said John Crow aforesaid whom I also
appoint executor of this my last will as follows:
And finally I leave to the said John Crow with whom I now live all the
rest of my goods and effects, money, notes, and all other things of whatever
denomination they be and I also appoint him whole and sole executor
confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament
this 28th day of September 1840.

27 May 1841 Chapter Court Kirk Michael the executor sworn in court in form
of law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely
Thomas Corlett of Ballacooley and John Rodgers of the village
both in the parish of Michael
