In the name of God Amen.
I Thomas Cannell of Ballarenny being in the parish of KK Michael and I
Judith Cannell wife of the said Thomas Cannell of the said parish being
at present of perfect sound mind memory and understanding at the making
hereof but calling to mind the uncertainty of this mortal life do hereby
make publish and declare this paper writing to be our last joint
will and testament in manner and form following hereby revoking any making
null and void all and every other will or wills by us at anytime heretofore
made and declaring this paper writing only to be our last
joint will and testament.
First we commit and commend our souls into the hands of Almighty God and our
bodies unto a decent Christian burial.
Secondly We leave and bequeath unto our son Thomas Cannell the sum of six
pence as legacy.
Thirdly We leave and bequeath unto our son John Cannell the sum of six
pence as legacy.
Fourthly We leave and bequeath unto our son William Cannell the sum of
six pence as legacy.
Fifthly We leave and bequeath unto our son Daniel Cannell the sum of six
pence as legacy.
Sixthly We leave and bequeath unto our daughter Ann Cannell the sum of one
pound as legacy.
Seventhly We leave and bequeath unto our daughter Jane Cannell the sum of
one pound as legacy.
Eighthly We leave and bequeath unto our daughter Catherine Cannell the sum
of six pence as legacy.
Ninethly We leave and bequeath to the poor of the parish of KK Michael
the sum of five shillings as legacy.
Tenthly We leave and bequeath to any persons or persons who may claim
a right in this our last joint will and testament the sum of six pence as
legacy.
Eleventhly and lastly We do hereby nominate constitute and appoint our
daughter Ellinor Cannell whole and sole executrix and residuary legatee
of all athe rest remainder and residue of our goods and effects to the same
of what kind or denomination soever or where so ever situated
In testimony whereof we the said Thomas Cannell and Judith Cannell
have hereunto subscribed our names or mark to our names this 24th day of
October 1841.

request in their presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed

At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael 27th October 1842.
The executrix is sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges for
the payment of debts and legacies namely Patrick Cannell of
Kewindroghad and Thomas Caine of Lhairgash both in the parish of
Michael

At an Ecclesiastical Court holden at Ramsey 24th January 1845
Judith Cannell the testatrix having departed this life and the witnesses
to her will having made oath that she was of sound disposing mind,
memory and understanding when she executed published and declared the same
as and for her last will testament and that they know of no other
will she has since made to the contrary. The executrix is therefore
sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges for the payment of
debts and legacies namely Patrick Cannell and Thomas Caine both of Orrisdale
in the parish of Michael

Received from Ellinor Cannell the executrix the sum of five shillings a
legacy bequeathed to the poor of this parish in the last joint will and
testament of Thomas Cannell and Judith his wife both deceased as witnessed
our subscriptions this Thirteenth day of April one thousand eight hundred
and forty six

Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Diocese hath this day granted
probate of the last will and testament of Judith Cannell of Michael deceased
to Elinor Cannell the executrix therein named
And whereas Pat Cannell of Orrisdale in the parish of Michael and Thos Caine
of Orrisdale in the parish of Michael have agreed to become
pledges to the said Elinor Cannell
Therefore know all men by these Present, that we, the said Pat Cannell
and Thos Caine hereby bind and oblige ourselves, and our executors,
administrators, as pledges to the said Elinor Cannell for the due and
faithful administration of the goods and effects of the said deceased,
according to Law. Witness our subscriptions, this 24th of Jan 1845.
