1842 Lonan
2nd Book
In the name of God Amen
I James Mylroie of Colby in the Parish
of KK Lonan being sick and weak in
body and knowing the uncertainty of this
transitory life and the certainty of Death
being of a sound disposing mind and
memory do make this my last will and
Testament. First I commit my soul to
God who gave it and my body to a
Christian Burial and as for my worldly
effects I dispose of in manner following
Item I leave and bequeath to my son James
Mylroie junr two shillings and sixpence
Item I leave two shillings and sixpence to my
daughter Margaret wife of William Kewley
Item I leave sixpence legacy to any person or
persons that may claim in this my will
Item Lastly I revoke all other wills heretofore all
words or intentions uttered declaring this to be
my last Will and Testament and nominating and
appointing my well beloved son and daughter
Joseph Mylroie and Elinor wife of Thomas
Killip whole and sole Executor and Executrix
of all the rest of my goods and chattels
movable and immovable of whatever nature and
denomination soever as witness my subscription this
the 10th Day of June 1842

At a Chapter Court holden at
Douglas 16th October 1842
Thomas Killip, husband of Ellinor and Executrix
herein named, having in Court renounced
the Executors[hip] – Joseph Mylroie the other
Executor herein named is sworn Exor
in Court in form of law as also to be
true and just in the division of the residuum
of the estate of the testator. And to these ends
he hath given pledges in form of law namely
James Cowin of Conrenny in the Parish of
Lonan and Thomas Killip of Douglas in
the Parish of Braddan
