Braddan
I Catherine Geneste of the town of Douglas Widow being confined with
sickness which leads me to think of the propriety of disposing of my
possessions what it may be and being of sound mind do declare and
publish this to be my last will and testament.
And first I would express in deservent(deserving) gratitude, that my
entire trust for salvation is on the atonement and righteousness of Jesus
Christ Gods only beloved son and I bless God that ever my ears hearing
the joyful sound of the gospel.
I leave to my sons Lewis, William, Maximilian and my son in law my
blessings and my love.
And being that my only surviving daughter may after my decease require some
provisions to be made for her.
I leave and bequeath to her all my propriety whatever it may be and I
appoint her executrix of this my will. In witness whereof I have signed
my name this 8th of February 1838 . Catherine Geneste.
