Arbory
In the name of God Amen
I Margaret Quirk of the parish of Kirk German being of sound mind and
perfect memory do make this my last will and testament in the manner
following.
1st I commit my soul to God Almighty who gave it and my body to a
decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executors.
2ndly I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Eliza the sum of seven
pounds British.
3rdly I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Ann the sum of seven pounds
British
4thly I leave and bequeath unto my four daughters viz Margaret,
Elizabeth, Esther, and Jane the sum of two shillings and six pence each.
5thly I leave and bequeath unto my son John the sum of two shillings and six
pence
6thly I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Eliza a bed and bedding
whom she lies on.
7thly I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Ann a bed and bedding whom she
lies upon.
8thly and lastly I do nominate constitute and appoint my loving husband John
Quirk my sole and whole executor of all the rest of my goods
moneys and effects wither movable or immoveable and also the paying of the
legacies mentioned in this my last will and testament and leaving to
all claimants the sum of six pence each and do hereby make void and revoke
all other will or wills by me made or executed and do declare this
to be my last will and testament as witness my hand and subscription
this sixth day of January 1843.

At a Chapter Court held in Castletown 13th June 1843.
The executor is sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges for the
payment of debts and legacies namely John Cubbon of Ballaconnell
and William Taggart of Ballagilbert both in the parish of Arbory.
