In the name of God Amen.
I Margaret Cook wife of Charles Cook of the parish of Ballaugh, being
weak in body but of perfect and disposing mind memory and understanding
at the making hereof, do hereby name publish and declare this paper writing
as and for my last will and testament hereby revoking and
making void all and any will or wills by me at any time heretofore made.
First I commit and commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave
it and my body unto a decent Christian burial.
Secondly I leave and bequeath unto my sons John, Charles, Thomas,
William and Edward Cook, my half of the sheep to be divided equally amongst
them share and share alike as legacy.
Thirdly I leave and bequeath unto my daughters Margaret, Mary Ann, and Ellen
Cook, all my wearing apparel to be divided equally amongst them
share and share alike as legacy.
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my loving husband Charles
Cook whole and sole executor and residuary legatee of all the rest remainder
and residue of my goods and effects be the same of what kind or nature
soever, or wheresoever situate.
As witness my name or mark to my name this fourth day of January one
thousand eight hundred and forty four (1844).

At a Chapter Court held at Michael 30th May 1844.
The executor in the foregoing will named is sworn in court in form of
law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely John
Hadden and John Corkan both of Michael.
