11 Castletown
In the name of God, Amen.
I John Corrin of Castletown being of sound disposing mind memory and
understanding and considering the uncertainty of this mortal life do
make my will and testament in manner following.
First I commit my soul to Almighty God and my body to Christian burial.
Item: I leave and bequeath to my three children John Corrin, Catherine
Corrin, and Ann Corrin six pence each as legacy.
Item: I leave and bequeath to my father Henry Corrin my brown coat and
trousers.
Lastly I leave all the rest of my goods, cash, books, debts, and property
of every description whatsoever or wheresoever the same may be to my loving
wife Margaret Corrin and I hereby appoint her whole and sole executrix of
this my last will and testament
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this 18th day of
August 1843. John Corrin
signed published and declared by the testator as for his last will and
testament in presence of us:

At a Chapter Court holden at Castletown on the 28th May 1844.
Margaret Corrin the executrix in the foregoing will named has been
sworn in court well and truly to execute the last will and testament of
her late husband John Corrin deceased to pay all his just debts and
legacies so far forth as the goods shall extend and the law bind her and
to do all other acts and deeds in the office of executrix according to law
and to these ends hath given pledges namely Richard Kinvig of
Castletown and Robt Shimmin of Arbory.
