In the name of God Amen.
I David Moffatt of the parish of Marown and Allison Moffatt my wife do
hereby make this our last joint will and testament in manner following,
that is to say.
We leave devise and bequeath to the lone liver of us the said David
Moffatt and Allison Moffatt all and singular our right and title in and to
that dwelling house and property situate in the parish of Marown
together with all and singular our personal property of what kind or
nature soever. We leave to our four children David, Thomas, Helen, and
William Moffaty the sum of one shilling each as a legacy. And we do
hereby appoint the longer liver of us the said David Moffatt and Allison
Moffatt executor and executrix of this our last will and testament.
As witness our subscriptions this 22 day of April 1837

At a court holden at Douglas the 2nd day of August 1844. Allison Moffatt is
sworn executrix of the last will of David Moffatt deceased in court in form
of law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely
Edward Gelling and Wm Stevenson of Douglas.
