At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael 31 Oct 1844
James Quiggin of the parish of Kirk Michael having departed this life on
or about the thirthieth day of October instant intestate and this court
having received intelligence thereof hath (for the preservation of the
rights of all persons concerned) Decreed his father William Quiggin sole
administrator of all and singular the goods, rights, credits, chattels, and
effects, moveable an immoveable whatever of the said deceadent and he the
said William Quiggin is thereupon sworn, well and truly to
administer the same to pay all the intestates just debts, so far forth as
the goods will extend and the laws bind; and return into the Episcopal
Registry a full, true, and perfect inventory thereof and an accurate account
of all transactions, touching the same when thereunto lawfully required.
And to these ends he hath given pledges in form of law namely John
Cannon of Ballanea and Robert Quayle of the village both in the parish of
Kirk Michael
