The humble petition of Daniel Kanneen 
of this parish of Andreas

Showeth
       First some time ago to wit in this year 18  
       Daniel Kneale of the sd parish of Andreas  
       departed this life intestate and indebted – 
       unto your petitioner and petitioner is 
       therefor desirous that  
       admintion of the estate of the said Daniel 
       Kneale should be granted to some fit and 
       proper person or to the officer of the law 
       that petitioner may prove his claim 
       against the sd estate.
           Wherefor your petitioner prays 
           a hearing hereof and that your 
           lordship may be pleased to grant 
           admon of the estate of the sd 
           Daniel Kneale so some fit and 
           proper person or to the officer 
           of the law and petitioner 
           will pray.

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at 
a court to be holden at Ramsay on Friday the 31st June 
whereof all proper parties are to have due notice.

At an Eccl Court held in Ramsay the 31st May 1844
Upon hearing his petition in presence of the parties 
and their advocates and upon consideration had 
thereof it appears the expiry that some fit and 
proper person the sd be appointed to administer 
the estate and effects of Daniel Kneale deceased 
and the next of kin having declined to act and 
recommended Daniel Kaneen the Petit.  
The sd Daniel Kanneen is therefore sworn in trust 
for the next of kin of the deceased well and truly 
to administer this sd estate to pay all just debts 
and funeral expenses of the deceasd so far forth 
as the goods will extend and the law bind him and 
also to return to the Episcopal Registry of this 
diocese a full true and perfect inventory of the 
sd goods and effects with an accurate account of 
all his acts and proceedings in the punusis when 
thereunto lawfully required and to that ends he has 
given pledges namely Thomas Vondy of Balacrink in 
Lezayre and Wm Skinner of Larrybane in Andreas 
who have in presence of the court entered into 
a Bond in due form of law.

By virtue of of the worshipfull vicar genl Corlett’s 
order on the petition of Danl Kanneen of Andreas I 
have charged John Dayle & Ann his wife John Kneale 
and Wm Kneale next of kin of Danl Kneale deced to 
appear before his worship at the Court house in 
Ramsey on Friday next the 31 May instant to answer 
the petition of sd petitioner this 27 May 1844:  
             Wm Radliffe Sumner of Andreas

I certify that by virtue of his worship Thos A. Corlett 
Vicar General’s order on this petition of Daniel Kaneen 
I have served the sd petition upon John Kennish and 
Daniel Cleater of Lezaire and summoned them there under 
to appear at a court to be holden at Ramsey on Friday 
next where called to answer the suit and petition 
of the sd Daniel Kanneen.
