In the name of God, Amen.
I John Corkan and Margaret Corkan alias Kissack my wife, both of the parish
of Michael, being at present weak in body but of perfect sound disposing
mind memory and understanding at the making hereof, calling
to mind the uncertainty of this mortal life, do make, publish and declare
this paper writing to be our last joint will and testament, hereby
revoking and making null and void any former will or wills by us, or
either of us at any time heretofore made, and declaring this paper
writing only to be one joint last will and testament in manner and form
following. __
First we commit and commend our souls into the hands of Almighty God who
saved them in hope of a joyful resurrection and our bodies unto
decent Christian burial.__
Secondly - We leave and bequeath unto our son Thomas Corkan the sum of two
shillings as legacy.__
Thirdly - We leave and bequeath unto one daughter Ann Corlate(Corlett),
alias Corkan the sum of two shillings as legacy.__
Fourthly - We leave and bequeath unto our daughter Elizabeth Southwood wife
of Robert Southwood alias Corkan the sum of two shillings as legacy.__
Fifthly - We leave and bequeath to our daughter Jane Cannell alias
Corkan, wife of Wm Cannell the sum of ten pounds as legacy.  The said
sum of ten pounds not to be payable or paid to our said daughter Jane
until after the death of the longest liver of us the said John Corkan and
Margaret Corkan alias Kissack - and not to bear interest.
Sixthly - We do hereby leave and bequeath unto the survivor or longest liver
of us the said John Corkan and Margaret Corkan, the cottage in
which we at present reside together with all the outhouses and lands belong
to us situate on the quarterland of Ballachrink in the parish of Michael
aforesaid which we formerly purchased from the late Thomas Cannell Dyer
together with all the other property and effects of which
we are possessed of whatsoever nature and kind or description the same may
be or wheresoever the same may be situated.__The survivor of us the said
John Corkan and Margaret Corkan to possess and enjoy the same for and during
the term of his or her natural life, and then and afterward to descend pass
over and become the absolute property of our youngest son Henry Corkan his
executors administrators and assigns who is to possess and enjoy the same.
Seventhly - We leave and bequeath to any person or persons who may claim a
right or title in this our last joint will and testament the sum of
six pence as legacy.
Lastly we hereby nominate constitute and appoint our said son Henry Corkan
whole and sole executor and residuary legatee of this our last
joint will and testament.  As witness our names or marks to our names this
twenty eight day of February one thousand eight hundred and forty five
(1845).__________
