In the name of God Amen
Know he that I Thomas Killey of the parish of Lonan being at present of
sound disposing mind memory and understanding and considering the
uncertainty of this mortal life do hereby make say and declare this paper
writing to be my last Will and Testament Hereby revoking all or any the
Will or Wills by me heretofore made
First   I Commit my soul to God and my body to a christian Burial
Secondly leave and bequeath unto John Killey and James Killey sons of my
bro. John the sum of 1 pound each Legacy   and to Jane Cain otherwise
Killey and wife of Thomas Cain the sum of 1 pound Legacy   and to Ann
Mylerea wife of Thomas Mylrea and to Eleanor Cubbon wife of Thomas Cubbon
and Daughters of my brother John the sum of 1 pound each Legacy
Thirdly   I leave & bequeath unto James Killey and John Killey sons of my
Brother William and to Ann Killey Daughter of my brother William the sum of
1 pound each as Legacy
Fourthly    I leave & bequeath unto James and John Killip sons of my Sister
Mary the sum of 1 pound Legacy   and to William Killip and Mary Garret
otherwise Killip the sum of 1 pound Legacy   and to Thomas Skillicorn miner
of Laxey the sum of 1 pound Legacy   and to Thomas Woods mariner of Douglas
the sum of one pound Lagacy
Fifthly   I leave give devise and bequeath unto Thomas Lewis my most
Beloved & Effectionate friend & his wife Margaret my niece all my right
Title and Interest Claim and demand whatsoever in and unto those lands
Houses and premises where I now reside and which I the said Thomas Killey
purchases of and from James Quill Situate lying and being in the parish of
Lonan and Bounded discribed as in and by the said Deed purchased as
aforesaid of James Quill may and do appear To have and to hold the Said
hereby demi[s?]ed premises and every part parcel and member thereof with
their and every of their rights members and appertainances unto the said
Thomas Lewin his Heirs and assigns as his and their real and indisputable
right property and Interest and free from the Claim Challeng and demand of
all persons whomsoever for ever
Sixthly   I leave and bequeath unto all and every person or persons that
may enter a pretended claim or to claim against this my Voluntary and free
will the Sum of one shilling each
Sevanthly and Lastly   I do hereby nominate constitute ordain and appoint
my Said well and beloved Friend Thomas Lewin whole and sole executor and
Residuary Legatee hereof of all the rest and remainder of my goods and
personal property Chattles and effects moveable and immoveable and of every
kind denomination and Description whatsoever and wheretoever   as witness
my name this Seventh Day of October in the year of our Lord one Thousand
Eight hundred and Forty four October 7 th 1844
