         Ballaugh
The humble petition of John Keig of the parish of Ballaugh.
Sheweth:  That your petitioneršs son John Keig Junr of the parish of
Ballaugh lately departed this life intestate and without issue and your
petitioner is desirous to have administration of the estate of John Keig
Junior as the Sumner of Ballaugh threatens to take possession of the
property which belonged to the said John Keig Junior although your
petition is ready and willing to pay any demand against the said estate.
Your petitioner therefore prays a hearing of this petition and that your
Worship may be pleased to grant your petitioner administrator of the estate
of the said John Keig Junior and that in the meantime the Sumner of
Ballaugh be inhibited from interferring with  the effects which were
of the said John Keig Junior deceased.  And Your petitioner will pray.
24 Jul 1846 Upon hearing this petition and it appearing that John Keig
Junior therein named departed this life some time ago a bachelor and
intestate the petitioner John Keig Senior his father is therefore decreed
sole administrator of all and singular the goods rights credits chattels,
and effects of the said deceadant and he is sworn well and truly to
administer the same according to law and to pay all just debts and
funeral expenses so far forth as the goods will extend and the law bind
him and to return to the Episcopall Registry a full and perfect inventory of
the same with an accurate account of his acts and proceedings in the
premises
when there unto lawfully required and to these ends he has given pledges
namely John Corlet and Thomas King of Ballaugh who have entered into
the usual bond in presence of the court.        Decretum Est
