We the undersigned being the next of kin of John Caine of Kirk Michael
deceased do hereby consent and agree that Elinor Cain should be sworn
administratrix in trust of said estate. The said John Caine died on or
about the 8th instant a bachelor leaving his mother Elinor Caine widow
of William Caine deceased - William Caine, Charles Caine, James Caine,
Elinor Caine, Jane Caine, Elizabeth Caine and Mary Caine, his brothers and
sisters. And we do request his Worship the Vicar General to grant Letters
of Administration of the estate of said John Caine to the said Elinor Caine
the petitioner.

At a Special Eccl Court held in Ramsey the 11th Dec 1847:
John Caine late of KK Michael having lately departed this life intestate
and a bachelor and this court having received intelligence thereof hath
decreed Elr Caine, the mother of deceased John Caine, Elr Caine spinster, Wm
Caine, Charles Caine, James Caine, Jane Caine, Elizabeth Caine and Mary
Caine his brothers and sisters joint administrators of all and
singular the goods and effects of the said deceased and by consent of
parties the said Elr Caine spinster is sworn in trust well and truly to
administer the said estate to pay all just debts and funeral expenses of the
deceased so far forth as the goods will extend and the law bind her and also
to return to the Episcopal Registry a full true and perfect inventory of the
said estate with an accurate account of her acts and proceedings in the
premises when thereunto lawfully required and to
these ends she hath given pledges namely Pat Cannell and Wm Caine who have
in presence of the court executed the usual bond.

Whereas John Caine of the parish of Kirk Michael bachelor departed this life
intestate, And at a court holden at Ramsey the 11th Dec 1847 -
Administration of all and singular the goods, rights, credits, and effects
of said John Caine were granted to Elinor Caine his sister in trust for
the next of kin. -
Personally appeared at the Episcopal Registry William Caine one of the
joint administrators in said Letters of Administration named and
acknowledged to have received and been paid the sum of nine pounds
eight shillings and nine pence being his distributive share of said
decedents estate.
At the same time and place appeared Jane Caine another of the joint
administrators in said Letters of Administration named and
acknowledged to have received and been paid the sum of nine pounds
eight shillings and nine pence being her distributive share of said
decedents estate -
At the same time and place appeared Thomas Quayle and William Caine
guardians appointed by the Ecclesiastical Court over Mary Caine, Charles
Caine and James Caine minors and joint administrators in said Letter of
Administration also named and acknowledged to have received and been paid
the sum of nine pounds eight shillings and nine pence being said
Mary Caine's distributive share of said deceadent's estate. And nine pounds
eight shillings and nine pence being said Charles Caine's
distributive share of said decedents estate. And nine pounds eight
shillings and nine pence being said James Caine's distributive share of
said decedent's estate. And they the said William Caine, Jane Caine,
and Thomas Quayle and William Caine Guardians of said Mary Charles and James
Caine minors do hereby severally exonerate acquit and discharge William
Teare husband of Elanor Caine who was the sworn
administratrix of said John Caine's personal estate of the said several sums
of money of distributive shares of said decedents personal estate and of
every part thereof. And do by these present cancel the same on the records
as witness their several subscriptions this 11th day of April One thousand
eight hundred and forty nine.

At the same time and place appeared Elisabeth Caine mother joint
administrator in said Letters of Administration named and acknowledged to
have received and been paid the sum of nine pounds eight shillings and nine
pence beilng her distributive share of said decedents estate. And she said
Elisabeth Cain doth hereby exonerate acquit and discharge
William Teare husband of Eleanor Caine who was sworn administrator of said
John Caines personal estate of the said sum of money her
distributive share of said deceadent's personal estate and of every part
thereof and doth hereby cancel the same on the record as witness her
subscription this eleventh of April one thousand eight hundred and forty
