Lonan
The humble petition of Thomas Henry of the parish of Lonan
Sheweth: That Catherine Henry your petitioner's late wife on the fifth
day of November last departed this life intestate leaving your petitioner
and two sons and four daughters her surviving.
That it is desirable that administration of the estate and effects of the
said Catherine Henry should be forthwith granted.
Wherefore your petitioner humbly prays a hearing hereof and that your
Worship be please to grant to your petitioner some fit and proper person
administration of the estate and effects of the said Catharine Henry in form
of law and petitioner will pray.

At an Eccl Court held in Douglas the 7th day of July 1848. Upon hearing
this petition in presence of the parties and it appearing that Cath Henry
sometime ago departed this life intestate leaving Ellin wife of Wm
Radcliffe, Robert Henry, John Henry, Catharine wife of Thomas Scarff,
Catharine Cowin wife of Thomas Cowin and Isabella Henry her next of kin
all of whom are decreed administrator of all and singular the goods,
rights, credits, chattel, and effects of the said deceadant and Thomas Henry
the petitioner is sworn in trust well and truly to administer the
said estate according to law to pay all her just debts and expenses so
far forth as the goods will extend and the law bind him and to return to
the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese as full true and perfect inventory
of the same with an accurate account of her acts and proceedings in the
premises when then unto lawfully required and to these ends he has
given pledges namely Thos Garrett and Robert Kelly who entered into the
usual bond in presents of the court.

Whereas the Eccl Court of this Diocese hath this day granted administration
of all and singular the goods and effects of Cath Henry
late of KK Lonan decease to Thomas Henry her husband in trust for Ellin
Radcliffe wife of Wm Radcliffe, Robert Henry, John Henry, Cather Scarff wife
of Thos Scarff, Catherine Cowin wife of Thos Cowin, and Isabella Henry
children and next of kin of deceased.
And whereas Thomas Garrett Junior of Douglas in the parish of Braddan and
Robert Henry of Laxey Glen in the parish of KK Lonan have agreed to become
pledges to the said Thomas Henry.
Therefore know all men by these presents, that we, the said Thos Garret and
Robert Henry hereby bind and oblige ourselves, and other executors, and
administrators, as pledges to the said Thomas Henry for the due and faithful
administration of the goods and effects of the said decease, according to
law. Witness our subscription this 7th day of July 1848.

By Virtue of the Authority of the Worshipful Vicar General Corlett I have
left charge for William Radcliffe and Eleanor his wife as defendant to
appear before his honour at a court to be holden at Douglas on Friday next
when called to answer the suit of and petition of Thomas Henry. As witness
my name this 30 day of June 1848 Thos Christian Sumner of Marown.
By virtue of the Worshipful Thos A. Corlett Esqr Vicar Generalšs
authority I have charged Thos Cowin and Jane his wife, Thos Scarffe and
Catherine his wife, Robert Henry and Elizabeth his wife and John Henry
and Isabella Henry of Lonan defendants to appear before his worship at
an Eccl Court to be holden in Douglas on Friday next being next of kin to
Cathrine Henry deceased to answer the suit and petition of Thomas Henry when
