48 Rushen In the name of God Amen. I Peter Moore of Fleshwick in the parish of KK Christ Rushen being at present weak in body but of a sound mind and memory and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life, do make this my last will and testament in hereby revoking all former wills in manner following: First I commit my soul to God and my body to Christian burial to be decently at the direction of my executors herein after mentioned. 2ndly I leave and bequeath to my son Thomas one hundred pounds British. 3rdly I leave and bequeath to my son John ten pounds British. 4thly and lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my son William whole and sole executor of all the rest of my goods and effects moveable and immoveable of what kind soever hereby depriving any person or persons who will claim with what the law requires. William Moore sworn as executor with pledges being Thomas Moore of Surby and William Collister of Corvalla both in the parish of Rushen. Whereas Susanna Moore died intestate and her children desirous of settling her monies, goods, and effects; therefore, they have come to the following agreement. It is agreed upon that William Moore her son and heir is to have all her moneys, goods, and effects by paying unto his two brothers Thomas Moore and John Moore the sum of ninety pounds British each. That is to say, Thomas Moore is to get ninety pounds British and John Moore the sum of ninety pounds British but ten pounds of legacy that was left to John Moore by his father Peter Moore is included in the ninety pounds that he is to get and Thomas and John Moore do hereby give up and quit claim unto all right and title that they might have in or to the moneys goods and effects in the estate of the said Susanna Moore their mother we the said William Moore, Thomas Moore, and John Moore bind ourselves firmly by these present in witness whereof we subscribed our names this 16th February 1849.
