The humble petition of Thomas Sayle Jr of the parish of Andreas
Sheweth That your petitioner’s father Thomas Sayle lately departed this life intestate
leaving your petitioner and Catherine Sayle, John Sayle William Sayle and Jane Sayle
the later two of whom are minors entitled to his personal estate.
That it is necessary that some proper person should be appointed to administer the estate of the said Thomas Sayle.
Wherefore your petitioner prays a hearing of this petition and that your
Worship may be pleased to grant administration of the estate to the said Thomas
Sayle unto your petitioner and he will pray.
Ordered that this petition do come to be heard at the court to be holden at Ramsey on
Saturday next whereof all properties to have due notice..
Given this 31st August 1848
At an Eccl Court held in Ramsey this 2nd Sept 1848
Upon hearing this petition in presence it appears Thomas Sayle of Andreas lately
departed this life intestate leaving you’re the petitioner Thomas Sayle, Catherine
Sayle, John Sayle, William Sayle and Jane Sayle his only children who are therefore
decreed joint administers of all and singular the goods rights credits chattels and
effects of the deceased and William Sayle and Jane Sayle being minors Thomas
Cleator Of Balla Cleator and John Crye of Ballayockey in the parish are sworn
guardians and supervisors over them and to return a full account of their acts and
proceedings to the Episcopal Registry when their unto lawfully required and the
Petitioner Thomas Sayle is sworn in trust well and truly to administer the estate
according to law to pay all just debts and funeral expenses so far forth as the goods
will extend and the law bind him and to return to the E Registry a full and prefect
inventory of the estate with an accurate account of his acts and proceedings in the
_____ when their unto lawfully require and to these ends he has given pledges
namely Thomas Radcliffe and John Crye who have entered into the usual bond in
presence of the court.
