The humble petition of Edward Stole of the parish of Maughold
Sheweth: That John Radcliffe of the Downe in the parish of Andreas sometime
ago departed this life intestate and indebted unto your petitioner and it is
necessary that some proper person should be
appointed to administer his estate.
Wherefore your petitioner prays a hearing of this petition and that your
Worship may be pleased to grant administration of the estate of the said
John Radcliffe unto some proper person and your petitioner will pray.
At an Eccl Court held in Ramsey the 29th Nov 1850.
Upon hearing this petition in presence of the parties or their advocates
it appears that John Radcliffe late of Andreas some time ago departed
this life intestate and without issue having Thomas Gawne, John
Radcliffe, Wm Radcliffe, James Radcliffe, Philip Radcliffe, Esther
Radcliffe, Isabella Radcliffe, Thomas Radcliffe, John Radcliffe, Ann wife
of Thomas Cleator, Jane wife of Matthias Gawne, his nephew and nieces sole
next of kin who are therefore decreed joint administrators of all
and singular the goods rights credits chattels and effects so the
decease. And the said Thomas Gawn is sworn in trust well and truly to
administer the said estate according to law, to pay all just debts and
funeral expenses of the decease so far forth as his goods will extend and
the law bind him and to return to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese a
full true d perfect inventory of the said estate with an accurate account of
his acts and proceedings in the premises when there unto lawfully required
and to these ends he has given pledges namely Philip Teare and Danl Cormode
who have executed the usual bond in presence of the court.
