In the name of God Amen.
I William Teare of Loughcrout in the parish of Jurby being weak in body
but of sound mind memory and understanding at the making hereof and bearing
in mind the uncertainty of human life make this my last will and testament
in manner following:
That is to say,  I leave and bequeath to my daughter Christian wife of
Thomas Kneale five pounds sterling as legacy.
I leave devise and bequeath to my son John Teare five pounds sterling as
legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my son William Teare five pounds sterling as
legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my son Thomas Teare my share or moiety of that
parcel  of purchased lands commonly called and known by the name of Lheaney
Daugherty situate in the parish of Andreas adjoining my own meadow and the
lands of Mrs James White on the North the trench or
drain on the south my own land on the east and the lands of the said
James White on the west to have and to hold unto my said son Thomas Teare
and his heirs and assigns from the day of my death absolutely forever as
legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my son  Daniel Teare five pounds sterling as
legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my daughter Catharine the wife of John Clark one
hundred pounds sterling and also my share or moiety of those purchased lands
called Croit Bargade and Lheaney Grenaby situate in the said parish of
Andreas and adjoining the estate called Gylcah on the north the trench or
drain on the east the lands of the said James White, and my said son Thomas
Teare on the south and the lands of Thomas Clark on the west. To have and to
hold unto my said daughter Catharine the wife of the said
John Clark and her heirs and assigns from and after the day of my death
absolutely forever as legacy.
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my said sons Wm Teare and Thomas
Teare and my said daughter Catharine joint executors and executrix of all
the rest residue and remainder of my goods cash credits and effects of what
kind or nature soever.
In witness whereof I the said William Teare have hereunto subscribed
my name this twenty sixth day of June one thousand eight hundred and fifty.
