                To his Worship Vicar 
                General Corlett

                The humble petition of 
                Mrs. Jane Kegg of the 
                parish of Lezayre 
                relict of Wm Kegg deceased.
Sheweth:                                                                                                                    
        That on the 19th day of June last         
        past the said Wm Kegg departed this 
        life leaving your petitioner and 
        seven infant sons him surviving 
        namely John the eldest of the age 
        of twelve years, William , Edward, 
        Thomas, Daniel, Joseph and Benjamin 
        an infant now one month old him 
        surviving but first duly made and  
        published his last will and thereof 
        appointed your petitioner Executrix 
        and it is expedient that the said 
        Will should be proved without delay 
        and petitioner sworn Executrix 
        there under.
                Therefore your petitioner 
                prays a hearing thereof 
                and that your worship 
                may be pleased to grant 
                probate of the said will 
                and that petitioner 
                may be sworn Executrix 
                there under and the 
                [petr] will pray.

Ordered that this petitioners document --------  
are to be heard at a Court to be holden at Ramsey 
on Friday the 19th  instant
Whereof all proper parties are to have due notice.

              At an Eccl. Court held in Ramsey the 
			  19th July 1850 
upon hearing this petition in presence of the parties 
or their advocates and upon examining Thomas Stevenson 
and Thomas Caley witnesses to the will of Wm Kegg 
deceased. I am of opinion that the due execution of 
this said will by the testator has been proven and 
therefore that probate thereof be granted as prayed 
for ad the same is ordered accordingly.

Wm Kegg of Lezayre having made his will and thereof 
appointed his wife Jane Kegg executrix. The said 
Jane doth hereby renounce the executrix of the said 
will in favor of Wm Quayle of Lezayre and Wm Kelly Jr 
of Jurby and she do hereby request thst the said 
Wm Quayle and Wm Kelly JR may be appointed and sworn 
executors in trust of the estate and effects of the 
said WM Keg with the will accepted for her benefit. 
Witness her subscription this 19th July 1850.

Whereas Wm Kegg of Lezayre some time ago departed 
this life and having made his will -------- 
Jane Kegg his wife Executor and the said Jane Kegg 
having by instrument in writing dated this day and 
here unto ------- renounced the executorship of 
the said will in favour of Wm Quayle of Lezayre and 
Wm Kelly of Jurby who are sworn in trust to administer 
the estate and effects of the said testator with 
the said will annexed and whereas Wm Kelly of 
Ballanunagh Jurby and Thomas Stevenson of Kervomoan 
Lezayre have agreed to become pledges to the said 
Wm Quayle ad Wm Kelly. 
There fore know all men by these presents that we 
the said Thomas Stevenson and Wm Kelly hereby bind 
and oblige ourselves our execs and admins as pledges 
to the said Wm Quayle and Wm Kelly for the due and 
faithful performance of the said _____ and the 
administration of the said estate and in their 
default we the said Wm Kelly and Thomas Stevenson 
bind and oblige ourselves and are execs and admins 
to be responsible. 
Witness our subscriptions this 19th July 1850.

By virtue of Vicar General Corlett’s order on a 
petiton in favor of Mrs. Jane Kegg relict of 
Wm Kegg deceased for probate of his will, I have 
noticed John Kegg one of the next of kin to 
appear at a Court to be holden in Ramsey on 
Friday the 19th instant this 16th July 1850

In the name of God Amen. I William Keig of the 
parish of Lezayre being weak in body but of  
sound memory do proceed to make declare and 
publish this my last will and testament in 
manner following
First:  I commit my soul to God who gave it 
and body to Christian burial.
Secondly: I leave ad bequeath unto my seven 
sons three sheep foreach son as legacy.
Thirdly: I leave nominate constitute and 
appoint my beloved wife all the homes and 
land that do belong to me in the parish of 
Lezayre also whole and sole executor of this 
my last will to whom I leave the rest and 
remainder of my goods of what kind or nature 
soever, in witness whereof I herewith subscribe 
my name as for my last will and testament 
this the 17t day of June 1850.
