The humble petition of Mrs Susanna Eleanor Farrant of Ballakillingham in the
parish of Lezayre widow
Sheweth: That William Farrant Esquire petitioner's husband lately
departed this life intestate leaving ten children namely William, Edward
Curphey, John Quilliam, Quayle Curphey, Robert, Isabella Curphey the
wife of Rev Henry Nassan Bishop, Susannah Eleanora, Margaret, Ellen Mylrea
and Annie. The said John Quilliam Farrant, Quayle Curphey
Farrant, Robert Farrant, Ellen Mylrea Farrant and Annie Farrant being minors
under the age of twenty one years.
That petitioner is desirous that administration of the estate and effects of
the said William Farrant should be granted to petitioner and that some
proper persons should be appointed guardians over the said minors. Wherefore
petitioner prays a hearing of this petition and that administration of the
estate and effects of the said William Farrant may be granted to petitioner
and that guardians may be appointed over the
said minors and petitioner will pray.

Orderd that this petition do come on to be heard at a Special Court to be
holden at Ballakillingham in the parish of Lezayre on Thursday next
where all parties to have due notice.

At an Eccl Court held at Ballakillingham this 29th Jan 1852. Upon
hearing this petition in presence of parties or their advocates and it
appearing that Wm Farrant Esq some time ago departedthis life intestate
leaving issue Wm Farrant, Isabella wife of the Rev Henry Nassans Bishop,
Edward Curphey Farrant, Susannah Eleanor Farrant, Margaret Farrant, John
Quilliam Farrant, Quayle Curphey Farrant. Robert Farrant, Ellen
Mylrea Farrant and Annie Farrant all of whom are decreed joint
administrators and administratrixes of all and singular the goods rights
credits chattels and effects of the said deceased. And Mrs Susanna Eleanor
Farrant their mother is sworn in trust well and truly to
administer the said estate according to law to pay all just debts and
funeral expenses of the deceased so far forth as the goods will extend
and the law bind her and to return to the Episcopal Registry of this
Diocese a full true and perfect inventory of the same with an accurate
account of their acts and proceedings in the premises when then unto
lawfully required and to these ends she has given pledges namely W. W.
Christian and Philip Myle Lyons Esq who have entered into the usual bond
in presence of the court. And the said John Quilliam Farrant, Quayle
Curphey Farrant, Robert Farrant, Eleanor Mylrea Farrant and Annie
Farrant being minors the said Wm W. Christian is sworn guardian and
supervisor over them and to return to the Episcopal Registry aforsd a
full and satisfactory account of his acts and proceedings in the premises
when then unto lawfully required.
